In 2019, a collaboration between Action Aid Arab Region, Food Heritage Foundation, Zaher, SOILS and Jibal has initiated the creation of an organic learning garden in Action Aids the community centers in Baalbek and Jib Jineen.
At each center, a local trainer, coordinator and core volunteer are conducting weekly workshops for 15 young women from the local community.

The women are involved in the entire process of creating and maintaining the organic learning gardens at the centers, using primarily raised plant beds to turn the terrace at Baalbek and the front parking space in Jib Jineen into lively, blooming gardens with vegetables and aromas.
The project both focus on practical and technical aspects of organic gardening as well as aspects of rights based work in agriculture, environmental awareness, produce and environmental auditing.
The gardens are designed by SOILS. Jibal has contributed to creating the season plan and teaching aspects.
